≫ WHAT WE BECOME: SURVIVOR STORIES APPLICATIONS ≪

  • Applications for What We Become: Survivor Stories are currently on hold while we work on creating our second wave of combat tests.

What We Become: Survivor Stories is a series of bite-sized scenarios meant to test our new and improved combat system in action! Our first wave contained 5 different scenarios, all taking place within the What We Become universe. Our second wave will contain 5 more scenarios. If you've been waiting to play on the server, now's your chance!

Additionally, each scenario has a limited number of slots for each role in the party, as well as an overall participation limit. If you apply for a role/scenario that is already full, you will be asked to apply for a different role/scenario. You can view the number of slots remaining for the current scenario on its respective forum post, linked above.

Make sure to check out our latest newsletter if you haven't yet! It has lots of information about our upcoming lore, among other things.

Jon is a 48-year-old army veteran and the de facto leader of a small survivor group based out of the countryside near Jubilee, Texas a church near Joan's Hollow. Formerly stationed at Fort Sam Houston as a 68W AIT Instructor, Jon's tenure in the army includes two other jobs (68W and 18D), multiple duty stations and countless deployments to the Middle East. He speaks and reads Spanish, Urdu, Pashto and Dari in addition to English. Physically, he is tall and lean, strong but willowy, broad shoulders aside. If he has/had pets, family or a significant other, he has not mentioned them.

TALES FROM THE BRUSH
On June 7th, 2019, Jon—alongside Rafael Garcia, Jack Miller, Max Rutherford, and Santiago and Jonah Alvarez—survived a bloody firefight in the Joan's Hollow town hall. The shootout was initiated by self-proclaimed National Guardsmen, though the veracity of that claim is suspect, at the very least. Jon personally killed two of the men, and four more were killed by his compatriots. Neither Jon nor any of his friends were mortally wounded, though both he and Jack Miller were shot during the fight.
On June 12th, 2019, Jon—alongside Max Rutherford and Jacqueline Garcia—helped a lost young woman, Taylor, look for her baby sister. Jon found the girl, but she had already been bitten and turned into a zombie. He put her out of her misery and brought her to Taylor... who then took her own life, despite Jon, Max and Jacqueline's attempts to stop her. After sending Max and Jacqueline home, Jon spent several hours digging two six-foot graves and buried the girls side by side in a wide, empty field. He left a locket containing a family photograph on Taylor's chest.
