As the apocalypse hit, she stole a blue sedan across the street and drove straight into the heart of the action - where she lived in her vehicle for the longest time at the early age of fifteen. Always on the road, never in one place; Maria was a loner until she found herself a part of The Rats, a small group that thrived on survival and exiling outsiders. She picked up learning about cars by reading manuals on the road, bodge-repairing her sedan and doing her own, comprehensive learning.
