≫ WHAT WE BECOME: SURVIVOR STORIES APPLICATIONS ≪

  • Applications for What We Become: Survivor Stories are currently on hold while we work on creating our second wave of combat tests.

What We Become: Survivor Stories is a series of bite-sized scenarios meant to test our new and improved combat system in action! Our first wave contained 5 different scenarios, all taking place within the What We Become universe. Our second wave will contain 5 more scenarios. If you've been waiting to play on the server, now's your chance!

Additionally, each scenario has a limited number of slots for each role in the party, as well as an overall participation limit. If you apply for a role/scenario that is already full, you will be asked to apply for a different role/scenario. You can view the number of slots remaining for the current scenario on its respective forum post, linked above.

Make sure to check out our latest newsletter if you haven't yet! It has lots of information about our upcoming lore, among other things.

This guide will primarily pertain to Monroe, and any other potential "Hub Towns" that may form over the course of the lore, player or admin made. As a player, you are expected to follow these rules and share them with others to avoid confusion on how you are to interact with, and around them.

WHAT CAN NPCS DO?
They can interact with you outside of combat!
You can have conversations with them if you want!
You can recruit them to help you build, so long as you do all the mechanical work!
They can fill in for a bartender if no players are online to encourage social roleplay!
They can exist in town!
They will search you for any weapons at the gate!

WHAT CAN'T NPCS DO?
They cannot engage whatsoever in any sort of combat scene!
They cannot and will not help out in identifying and sort of players who are suspected of committing crimes!
They will not and cannot stop any sort of roleplay revolving around; theft, abduction, murder, or anything of the sort!
Any NPCs who may be present during the start of one of these scenes will immediately flee and hide!
They can't fill an important role in any community! (Heads and so-on)

When you plan to interact with an NPC, consider them this - they are nothing but a REDSHIRT in-terms of any TV-Series, they are below-average people lacking the abilities your characters may have as members of the main cast. For all intent and purposes, each NPC should be treated like nothing but a JABRONI in one way or another going forward. Do not use them to stop another player's roleplay, come up with whatever excuse you want for it, but under no circumstances will they be used outside of that unless we release a specific system to include such a thing in the future.

Thank you.
