  • Applications for What We Become: Survivor Stories are currently on hold while we work on creating our second wave of combat tests.

What We Become: Survivor Stories is a series of bite-sized scenarios meant to test our new and improved combat system in action! Our first wave contained 5 different scenarios, all taking place within the What We Become universe. Our second wave will contain 5 more scenarios. If you've been waiting to play on the server, now's your chance!

Additionally, each scenario has a limited number of slots for each role in the party, as well as an overall participation limit. If you apply for a role/scenario that is already full, you will be asked to apply for a different role/scenario. You can view the number of slots remaining for the current scenario on its respective forum post, linked above.

Appearance
Aaron stands at around 5’10 and is of a fairly average build, probably clocking in somewhere within the 170s. He has rather unkempt light brown hair with the eyes to match, alongside a thin beard. More hidden however is what lies underneath his shirt, which reveals a fairly sizable scar on his right side where he was shot two years prior during his group’s raid on Monroe. In addition is a linear scar across his chest from an old knife wound, one near his chest due to gunshot, a scar from a stabbing that’s on his upper left hand side, and lastly a smaller one on his left shoulder that was the result of an arrow some years back.

Personality
To those who knew him when he first arrived in Monroe and throughout the course of his first few months there, the Aaron of then is a far cry from the Aaron of now. The ill-tempered, bitter, and spiteful young man of then is now quite the easygoing, thoughtful, good-natured, and optimistic sort of fellow. He is not one to hold a grudge, and tries to look in the best of the world and others. Having been saved by the very people he and his group sought to raid and pillage, Aaron has changed much as a man, focusing on the good in the world, and not the bad. To those that know him he is otherwise a fairly laidback individual, and is always ready to give a helping hand to others.

History
To those at Monroe, some residents may remember his arrival with a group of raiders two years prior. The bandits sought to attack the area, hoping to loot the town of Monroe for all that it was worth. Unfortunately for the bandits, the raid was a rousing failure. Many of the bandits were killed in the attack, while the others who fled continued to harry the area for a time before finally being driven out for good. Aaron on the other hand was gravely wounded in the assault and was left for dead in the town, having been shot in his side. The leader of the town decided to take pity on the young man and chose not to execute the bandit. He was brought in and treated, and was told that in restitution for his crimes he was to serve the town in a form of indentured servitude for one year. For the first few months Aaron worked the farms of Monroe, where he gradually warmed up to the world. When it became apparent that he wasn’t going to run off or cause violence, he went out on rangings, alongside hunting and fishing for the town.

Time spent at Monroe changed Aaron, where he became a more optimistic, and hopeful person. He realized that there was good in the world, and he found faith as well. Following his one year of servitude Aaron was offered a place in Monroe, and he found himself owning a small plot of land big enough to farm. In addition, he sometimes hunts when required, and goes out on rangings when the need arises, partly due to his years spent out on the road. Aaron has been living free in Monroe for the past year now, and is widely considered a welcome member of the community.

It is generally known that he originally hails from the Seattle area, and had traveled the country extensively during the years prior to his arrival at Monroe.

Hey, just to let you know Monroe hasn't been around that long. The community only formed about two years ago so Aaron wouldn't be able to have arrived such a long time ago as it hadn't existed yet.
