≫ WHAT WE BECOME: SURVIVOR STORIES APPLICATIONS ≪

  • Applications for What We Become: Survivor Stories are currently on hold while we work on creating our second wave of combat tests.

What We Become: Survivor Stories is a series of bite-sized scenarios meant to test our new and improved combat system in action! Our first wave contained 5 different scenarios, all taking place within the What We Become universe. Our second wave will contain 5 more scenarios. If you've been waiting to play on the server, now's your chance!

Additionally, each scenario has a limited number of slots for each role in the party, as well as an overall participation limit. If you apply for a role/scenario that is already full, you will be asked to apply for a different role/scenario. You can view the number of slots remaining for the current scenario on its respective forum post, linked above.

Make sure to check out our latest newsletter if you haven't yet! It has lots of information about our upcoming lore, among other things.

Hey folks, I'm back. So, the last few days have been tough. There have been a number of issues raised and countless discussions. To that end, we're making some updates and additions to our rules/forums:

1.) From now on, admin decisions in game will be final. If an admin rules, it will not be overturned unless a rule violation by said admin has taken place (see #4).

a.) If multiple admins are on, the final decision will be from the highest ranked admin.
b.) If there is a dispute between a player and an admin character, another admin can be requested to mediate if online. If there are no other admins online, the admin character will make the decision, and a ticket can be submitted on the forums in appeal.

2.) This DOES NOT mean admins are above the law. Tickets can still be submitted through the forums in the case of #1b, violations of the rules, ooc harrassment or any actions done to your character offline. It will then be brought to the team and discussed as we normally do today. Submitting a ticket will not be counted against you even if denied. Unless you spam us, don't do that. This does not mean that we will overturn a decision because a player doesn't like the outcome.

3.) Direct official notification regarding issues with an admin is prohibited. All issues should be submitted as a ticket first, and then resolved through the ticket UI. Direct communication with any member of the admin team regarding your ticket is prohibited unless directly requested by an admin. This means do not pm an admin asking to have your ticket looked at, discussing the issue officially or to complain about another admins decision. Admins will also be required to have a ticket submitted by the player before discussing it in admin chat.

a.) We do not want to take away all communication between admins and players as people. We want people to be friends and have fun. But admins going forward will separate friendly discussions and official admin discussions. There will be updates to the admin rules to specify this and lay out punishment if not followed by the admins.

4.) OOC slander or other derogatory comments made to or about other players in Discord or PM's *will* be considered as on server and handled the same should a ticket be submitted. This also includes Voice Chat on discord if overheard by an admin. You are free to speak your mind as you choose in private, but once it becomes to the attention of admins regarding a player on the server, it is then considered on server. Decisions on what constitutes this will rest with the admin team. This does not mean you can't banter, but everyone should be grown up enough here to understand the difference.

5.) Failure to follow the rules set forth here, as well as any other rules on the server, will result in punishment up to and including temp bans or permanent bans.

6.) We will also be updating the ticket process here on the forums to make it more user friendly and provide an additional guide on when and how to submit a ticket. Look for that in the coming days.

In addition, I want to apologize for the missteps recently. There has been a lot of confusion, misunderstanding and upset feelings due to us not following a more regulated system. Things get lost in discussions, are on VC sometimes or misunderstood and then passed on. This set of rules is designed to clean all of this up, and make this a place where we can get back to the rping we all came here to do and have fun with.

This post has been discussed with the *entire* admin team and is final. Please do not pester admins about this, as it will not be changing. Questions or clarifications regarding these new rules may be directed through tickets. Tickets for complaints or anger over these rules will be disregarded and not responded to. This applies to direct pm's, all Gateway chatrooms and all Gateway voice chat rooms as well.
