Burning
This status will be utilized for weapons such as: Molotovs, Flamethrowers, and other fire-based weapons or attacks.
Upon being successfully hit by a weapon that deals BURNING damage, you will take FIVE damage for THREE turn cycles.
» This status can be cured by using the PUT YOURSELF OUT action.
Acidic
This status will be utilized for attacks from certain monsters, attacks by certain grenades (Acid Grenades), and exposure to certain elements on battle-maps.
Upon being successfully hit by a weapon that deals ACIDIC damage, you will take THREE damage for FIVE turn cycles.
» This status cannot be cured.
Bleeding
This status will be utilized for weapons such as Bladed Melee, Claws, Bites, Animal Attacks, or other sharp-based weapons or attacks.
Upon being successfully hit by an attack that deals BLEEDING damage, you will take THREE damage for SIX turn cycles.
» This status can be cured by using a BANDAGE.
Infection
This status will be utilized for enemies such as zombies or other monsters who can spread the zombie virus.
This status will come into play for attacks such as SCRATCH, BITE, DEVOUR, and execution attacks.
» Upon being successfully hit by an attack that deals guaranteed INFECTION damage, such as BITE or DEVOUR, you will become infected with the ZOMBIE virus. » On an attack such as SCRATCH that has the possibility of infecting you, you will be asked to roll a D20. If you receive a roll below 10, you fail and are INFECTED.
Poison
This status will be utilized for attacks from certain monsters and exposure to certain elements on battle-maps.
Upon being successfully hit by an attack that deals POISON damage, you will begin taking damage which will raise each turn cycle by ONE while additionally sapping your AP by -2.
» This state will progressively worsen and can only be cured by utilizing SERUM, an item purchasable at certain traders, recovered during events or harvested from certain enemies.
Concussive
This status will be utilized for weapons such as Grenades, Pipe Bombs, IEDs, Mines, Rocket Launchers, or other explosive-based attacks.
Upon being successfully hit by a weapon that deals CONCUSSIVE damage, you will be asked to roll 2D8 for additional damage.
Frost
This status will be utilized for attacks from certain monsters and exposure to certain elements on battle-maps.
Upon being successfully hit by an attack that deals FROST damage, you will take FIVE damage for every turn cycle you're affected and receive an immediate penalty of -1 AP and -2 to any attack rolls.
» This status can be cured through two different methods; either by removing yourself from the element causing the effect or by surviving FIVE turn-cycles after being hit with an attack.
Bound/Paralyzed
This status will be utilized for certain monsters.
Upon being successfully hit by an ability attack that inflicts the BOUND/PARALYZED effect,you will become bound and unable to move from your current location.
» While bound, in some circumstances you will take FIVE points of damage every turn cycle, and in some, you will not. This will be circumstantial depending on the nature of how you were bound. » You can use an action to escape being bound. If you are bound by something such as a NET or WEB, you will have to roll a D20 with above 10 being an escape. » If you are being actively bound by a monster, you will need to roll a D20 against a D20 from them. If your roll is larger, you will escape.
Mind-Controlled
This status will be utilized for certain monsters.
Upon being successfully hit by an ability attack that inflicts the MIND-CONTROLLED effect, you will become mind-controlled. While under this effect, you will be susceptible to the enemies will and conduct what it may instruct you to do.
» How you achieve this goal is ultimately up to you, but you will be playing for the opposing side from there-on.
Each turn-cycle, you will be prompted with the ability to roll to escape your mental state. This will be done by rolling a D20 against the enemies' D20 with the largest roll winning.
» If you fail this roll TWO consecutive times in a row, you will temporarily lose control of your character's actions (not dialogue) and will only be able to break free once the enemy mind-controlling you is defeated.
